Race Unity Speech Awards - with David and Sandra Brown Carr

Host: David and Sandra Brown Carr
Language: English
Category: Children and Youth
Duration: 00:55:00

David and Sandra Brown Carr present another program on the Race Unity Speech Awards for senior high school students.
Not long ago, David sat down with Pam Hollows and Bev Rennie, the two members of the local Baha’i community who have been Hawke’s Bay's regional coordinators of the Speech Awards for many years, to chat about the history of the Awards in this area and to reminisce about some of the outstanding entrants from previous years.
There is also a brief report in the program on the finals of the 2026 national Speech Awards, which were held in Tamaki Makaurau, Auckland, in May, at which Amanjot Singh of Hastings Boys’ High School was chosen as this year’s best speaker.
