A Compassionate Community is one that believes that caring for people in times of crisis and loss is a social responsibility and not just the responsibility of medical or public health services. This series focuses on raising awareness of the concept and cultivating it here locally by having frank conversations around dying, death, caring, and grieving. Hosted by Stephanie Hutchinson who is part of the newly formed (and still forming) Compassionate Communities Collective HB, the series includes interviews with a variety of people volunteering or working in this sphere, exploring their 'why' as well as their 'what' and their hopes for the initiative here in the Bay.
