Winter Newsletter

Hi everyone,

Winter’s here — no doubt about it. We’ve had a run of chilly days, and there are
plenty more on the way, though soon enough we’ll be talking about how hot it is
again.
There’s a lot of great stuff happening at your radio station. The schedule is pretty
packed, but we can still fit in a couple more community shows. If you know
someone who’d love to share what they’re doing in the community, point them
toward our Operations Manager, Kelly Reid at info@radiohawkesbay.org.nz.
The Napier pop-up studio has been going great, and if you’re based in Napier,
remember you can record closer to home. It’s open on the second Friday of each
month from 10am to 3pm. At this stage it’s talk-only — no music playback or
recording. If that works for your show, have a word with Kelly and we’ll get you
booked in.
Just a reminder, your programme deserves to be heard — so shout it out. Share
your show highlights, guest moments, and upcoming topics across your social
media channels and invite your followers to tune in. Every post helps new
listeners discover Radio Hawke’s Bay. People can listen live, stream online, or
download and share your episodes anytime, anywhere. The more you promote,
the faster your audience grows.
There are lots of exciting initiatives in the pipeline
at Radio Hawke’s Bay, and your ideas matter.
If you’ve got suggestions on how we can do
things even better, share them with us, we’re all
ears.
Cheers
Ken (Ed)

Some local magic in the community:

Meet Moxy — Radio Hawke’s Bay’s Proudly Sponsored Well-Being Partner.
If you’ve spotted a tiny horse with a big presence trotting around Hawke’s Bay,
you’ve already met Moxy - our newest and most charismatic community
partner.
Radio Hawke’s Bay is proud to sponsor Moxy and his owner/carer Alysha, an
end-of-life doula whose work in the wellness space is lifting spirits across the
region. Together, they’re helping us share who we are and what we do, while
bringing comfort, connection, and joy to those who need it most.
Moxy isn’t just a pony; he’s a dedicated therapy companion travelling across
Hawke’s Bay to hospitals, hospices, rest homes, community events, festivals,
and workplaces. Wherever he goes, he brings calm, warmth, and a sense of
grounding that only a horse’s presence can offer.
Moxy’s mission is simple: brighten days, ease burdens, and remind people
they’re not alone. And we’re honoured to stand behind him every step of the
way.
Know a person or organisation who could use a little Moxy magic?

seeing you all soon.
